All doors open for Bond girls! Especially if you’re Paris-born actress Lea Seydoux, who just became the official face of Louis Vuitton! The French fashion house that has been setting standards for luxury and high fashion, already has a record of getting the best and most popular actors and actresses as brand ambassadors. It’s obviously a very popular marketing move; the movie industry is so powerful that having a good reference in your next ad campaign will score you an additional few thousand fans (just add the movie/actor fans to your consumer base).

It also adds more story and uniqueness to the campaigns than standard photo shoots with models you see in most ad campaigns for different brands. Take Dior’s short films featuring another stunning French actress, Marion Cotillard; they are not just ads, they are inspiring stories that everyone who has a bit of imagination wants to follow.

And naturally this is not the first time the brand has made use of cinematography benefits. Louis Vuitton, which Seydoux considers to be “a strong symbol of French elegance,” already has made investments in attracting actors and actresses like Alicia Vikander, Michelle WIlliams, Jennifer Connelly, and Doona Bae. All of them are currently brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton.

Seydoux’s first appearance in the new role as a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton will be at the UNICEF Ball in Los Angeles on January 12, where she will accompany the brand’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquiere. Seydoux will be wearing a Louis Vuitton outfit, custom made especially for the event. An incredibly exclusive detail many women would kill for, and we can’t wait to see how designers at Louis Vuitton picture Seydoux.

With more international fame she has lately gained, the upcoming Louis Vuitton ad campaigns, where she’ll be featured, guarantee a career hike for the actress. Her image already set as an elegant French woman, a great actress and an icon of style, she’s already conquering men and women around the world.

We’ll see more of Seydoux during Louis Vuitton events, ad banners and maybe even lookbooks (who knows!). Just like most brand ambassador partnerships, this one will most probably last for two years.

She has earned the most desirable Palme d’Or in 2013 for her role in “Blue is the Warmest Color.” Seydoux has also been featured in “Inglorious Basterds,” “Midnight in Paris,” “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” and “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.” We’ll also see her in Xavier Dolan’s upcoming film “It’s Just the End of the World.” That’s an impressive portfolio of films, and that portfolio just got much bigger with this partnership.

Thanks to her unique appearance and unbeatable charm, Seydoux has also been a part of many fashion ad campaigns for brands like Miu Miu, Prada and Rag & Bone. As she has been playing episodic roles in the mentioned movies, and the latest “Spectre” movie was one of the best leading roles she has done, we feel this fashion collaboration will receive more exposure than any other ad campaign she has done before. That’s the rules of the game, you can go hard, or you can go home! At the moment Seydoux is going go anywhere but home.

Marion Cotillard Continues to Be a Lady Dior Ambassador for Cruise 2016

Although Dior is currently dealing with some unexpected changes, as Raf Simons steps down as the creative director of the French fashion house, one of the brand’s most iconic faces has never stopped playing her role as a Lady Dior Ambassador: Marion Cotillard. The French Academy-Award-winning actress, whose role as Lady Macbeth is going to come out in France on November 18, has been an ambassador and Dior house muse since 2008, being thus part of the French house’s list of charming muses, including Charlize Theron, Mila Kunis and Jennifer Lawrence. Besides Lady Macbeth, Cotillard is mainly famous for having played Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose (2007),Inception (2010) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).

Skillfully captured by photographer duo Mert & Marcus (renowned for their collaborations with glamorous magazines such as Vogue Paris and Vanity Fair and Fashion Houses, such as Miu Miu and Louis Vuitton), Marion Cotillard returns as the face of Lady Dior for the brand’s cruise 2016 campaign with a more sensual and almost mystical look. In the two pictures that the brand has recently released, Cotillard is captured in an intimate setting, lying on a luxurious bed covered with dusky blue satin sheets. Donning a form-fitting black dress adorned with a geometric décolleté from thebrand’s cruise 2016 collection (one of the last to be designed by former creative director Raf Simons), the 40-year-old French actress shows off both the scarlet red Lady Dior Carmine handbag and the new-era bronze Metallic Cannage, the tonalities of which stand out against the cold backdrop.

Created in 1994, Lady Dior’s quilted patterns have been inspired by the Napoleon II chairs and became internationally renowned in 1995, after Princess Diana began carrying her Lady Dior almost everywhere she made an appearance.

Marion Cotillard, who absolutely smolders in this role, matches the sensually mysterious look with smokey eye makeup and a retro-inspired hairdo, which turn her into a Roaring Twenties diva. The perfectly balanced shots reveal Cotillard’s ability to make everything look so delicate and sophisticated that we almost forget this is an advertisement campaign and not an intimate, personal shot.

Although Cotillard’s collaboration with Dior may be regarded as more traditional, the French label has never been afraid of experimenting with other kinds of talents and personalities. Breaking off with its traditions, Dior has recently collaborated with Rihanna, giving the Barbadian singer the role as the new “Secret Garden IV” collection’s muse.
