Everyone on the PurseBlog sees a ton of bags every day, so when one sticks with you for a little while, that’s always something to pay attention to. I first spotted The Row Duplex Hobo when scouting out which Resort 2016 bags the Internet’s big retailers already have on offer, and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.

I’m not the only person who took particular note of this bag at the time; several of you mentioned your interest in it in that post’s comments, and more of you clicked over to see its full details than clicked any link in the post. (Watching you guys vote with your clicks is fascinating.) It’s somewhat rare that we get that kind of consensus on a bag made by a relatively small brand like The Row, so it seemed like the Duplex Hobo was worth a closer look.

The bag, like most of The Row’s best pieces, has a rather straightforward appeal: it’s simple and soft, and the leather looks thick, like the kind that gets better and more interesting as you use and break in a new bag. Not that this bag looks like it would need much breaking in, of course.

With nothing but a removable tassel to complicate things, the sort of wide, flat straps that look like they’d sit comfortably on the shoulder and a price point well within the bounds of what luxury customers are willing to pay for a day bag, there’s literally nothing here that I can find to complain about. Except that I don’t already have one in my closet, of course. (If you like things more complicated and expensive, there’s a fully beaded version that rings up at just less than $10,000.)
